New Bulk Register
Pedro Carrillo
Bulk registration has been conceived to register several works at the same time, however it can be used to register individual works step by step. Registering individual works is convenient if you are handling big files.
Important: in massive registration the work’s name will be the name of the file without file extension. Eg, If you are going to register a text file and the title is “My Novel” you have should name it “My Novel.txt”.
1.- The first step: logging in.
2.- Once logged in, you will see your registered works list (if you have some) and two buttons: one to register a single work and the other to Bulk Registration. Click on Bulk Register button.
3.- In Bulk Registration section you will see the Registration Templates list. This templates are useful to identify the type of work you are going to register. In you have no templates or neither one of the them adapts to your work, you can create a new one. In the case you want to use one template click on the Bulk Register button. For this tutorial purposes we will create a new template.
4.- Fill basic and required fields in the Registration Template for the specific work type you are going to register.
5.- This is a completed template. Click on save to finish.
6.- When you save the template, it will be visible on the initial list of templates. Clicking on Bulk Register button will show a new windows. If you see a message about no possibility of verify the certificate’s authenticity click on “Trust”.
7.- In the new window you could click on the plus symbol (+) you will see on the lower left corner or drag and drop the files you want to register.
8.- As soon as you drop the files into the window the uploading to Safe Creative will begin.
9.- Once the files uploading finish you can go to the Registered Works list and see the files you just uploaded. Here you can edit or add tags, modify descriptions or change titles. Notice that the system will take as title of the work the name of the file without the extension. So if the uploaded file is “My Novel.txt” it will be registered as “My Novel”.
